March 21, 2025: Choreographer and social media influencer Dhanashree Verma has unveiled a poignant new song, “Dekha Ji Dekha Maine”, which tackles the sensitive topics of domestic violence and infidelity in marriage. The song’s release coincides with Verma’s divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, which was granted by a family court in Mumbai.

The music video features Verma as a victim of domestic violence, delivering a powerful performance. Produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the song is sung by Jyoti Nooran, with music composed by Jaani, who also penned the lyrics. The words are sharp and innovative, evident in the lines: “I saw my own people crying, I saw my own sharing a bed with others.”

Verma described her performance in the song as “emotionally charged”.

Verma’s divorce from Chahal was finalized, with the cricketer agreeing to pay a substantial alimony of Rs 4.75 Crore. The couple had tied the knot in December 2020.
