Journalist Dilwar Hussain Mazumdar Re-Arrested in Shocking Robbery Case; Hidden FIR Exposes Alleged Police Cover-Up!

March 27, 2025: Journalist Dilwar Hussain Mazumdar has been re-arrested by Panbazar police shortly after securing bail in an ongoing case. The police picked him up from outside the central jail, taking him away in a vehicle, raising several questions about the handling of the case.

A fresh case has been registered against Mazumdar under case number 111/25, incorporating sections 329/324(4)/351(3)/309(4)/115 of the BNS. Notably, Section 309(4) is non-bailable, and if found guilty under this provision, he could face imprisonment for up to 10 years.

The journalist has been charged with robbery and fleeing with crucial bank documents. According to reports, on March 25, the bank filed two FIRs simultaneously regarding the case. However, it has now come to light that the police officially acknowledged only one FIR, while the other was allegedly kept hidden by the Panbazar police.

The unfolding developments have sparked discussions about possible irregularities in the investigation. Authorities are yet to provide clarity on why the second FIR was concealed and what led to the journalist’s swift re-arrest despite being granted bail in the first case.

Further investigations are underway, and more details are awaited.
