March 28, 2024: Rakibul Hussain, the Assam Congress leader, will be contesting from the Dhubri constituency in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. He has served as the Deputy Leader of the opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly since 2021.

Speaking to media, Salman Khan, the Chairman APCC Minority Department said, “Rakibul Hussain will win with a big margin in Dhubri. Therefore, three times victorious All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) leader Badaruddin Ajmal will be defeated.”

The chairman has also said that various voters from Dhubri constituencies have understood all the secret understanding between AIUDF and BJP. Following this, the congress leader Hussain will be victorious in Dhubri.
