March 20, 2025: Five years after Disha Salian’s tragic death, her father Satish Salian, has approached the Bombay High Court, seeking an FIR against Shiv Sena(UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackery and others. Disha, a former manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, died on June 8, 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a high rise building in Malad.
Initially, the police registered an Accidental Death Report case. However, Disha’s father has now made explosive allegations, claiming that Aaditya Thackery attended a party at Disha’s home on the night of her death, along with his bodyguards and actor Sooraj Pancholi and Dino Morea. Satish Salian also alleged that the official autopsy report was altered under political pressure to protect the accused.
Aaditya Thackery has denied the accusations, calling it a bid by the BJP govt to defame him. He stated that he would present his case in court.
The incident has sparked a political row, with Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut questioning the timing of the petition. “The police investigation concluded it was an accident, not a murder. Her father has filed a petition five years after the incident. The whole state knows the politics behind”, he says.
The case has become a flashpoint between the ruling Mahayuti and the Shiv Sena(UBT), with both sides trading accusations.
