July 27, 2022: Former Minister Ardhendu Kumar Dey passed away due to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome at 84 years.
He was a member of Indian National Congress. He was elected as MLA to the Assam Legislative Assembly from Hojai constituency from 1991 till 2006.
Later, In April 2021 he joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
