NCC Republic Day Camp 2025 Sets Record with 917 Girls Among 2,361 Cadets

December 30, 2024: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp 2025 commenced today in Delhi with a record-breaking participation of 917 girls among a total of 2,361 cadets, marking a historic moment in the camp’s history.



The month-long event, held at the iconic Cariappa Parade Ground, brings together cadets from across the nation, showcasing the rich diversity of India. Notably, 114 cadets hail from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, while 178 cadets represent the Northeast region. Adding an international dimension, cadets and officers from 14 friendly nations are participating under the Youth Exchange Programme.



Addressing the cadets, Lt General Gurbirpal Singh praised their dedication and described their selection as a significant honor. He urged them to embody values of character, integrity, selfless service, camaraderie, and teamwork, reinforcing the motto of 'Nation First.'



The NCC Republic Day Camp is not only a rigorous training ground but also a platform for cultural exchange and social service initiatives. It instills a sense of patriotism, discipline, and leadership among participants, fostering national pride and unity.



As a flagship event of the NCC, the camp is a cornerstone of youth engagement in India, preparing future leaders while celebrating the nation’s diversity and spirit of service. With the highest-ever participation of girls, this year’s camp reflects growing inclusivity and empowerment in the armed forces’ youth wing.



The camp will culminate with the cadets’ prominent participation in the Republic Day celebrations, symbolizing the strength and unity of India's youth.
