March 17, 2025: A shocking case of robbery has come to light in Kaliabor, where a man from Arunachal Pradesh was lured with the promise of purchasing bricks at a cheap rate and subsequently looted by a gang of four, including a woman. The incident took place in No. 1 Borghuli.
According to reports, the victim, identified as Dari Raju, was contacted by a group offering to sell bricks at just ₹6 per piece. Trusting the offer, he traveled to No. 1 Borghuli to make the purchase. However, upon reaching the location, he was taken to a house under the pretense of having tea. There, he was brutally assaulted, and the gang robbed him of his mobile phone, a gold chain, and ₹1.65 lakh in cash.
After the attack, the injured Dari Raju managed to file a complaint at the Sollong Patrol Post. Based on his report, the police arrested a woman named Marjina Khatun from No. 1 Borghuli, while the three other accused initially fled.
In a subsequent operation, police tracked down and arrested the remaining accused—Baharul Islam, Nasim Uddin, and Hanan Ali—from Karnataka based on secret intelligence.
Further investigation is underway, and police are continuing their efforts to uncover more details related to the crime.
