PM Modi inaugurates Vantara in Gujarat

Vantara, the world’s largest rehabilitation, rescue and conservation centre, was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi at Jamnagar, Gujarat. Spreading over 3500 acres, Vantara hosts over 1.5 Lakhs of endangered, rescued and threatened animals, offering them shelter and care. Vantara is brainchild of Anant Ambani, under the aegis of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).



An advanced multi speciality wildlife hospital has been set up at Vantara. The hospital is equipped with MRI, City scans, ICUs, a neonatal ICU among other state of the art facilities.



In a series of posts on his X account, Modi talked about his visit to Vantara. Modi said, Vantara provides a safe haven for animals while promoting ecological sustainability and wildlife welfare. He commended Anant Ambani and his entire team for this very compassionate effort.  He also wrote, that Vantara is a vibrant example of our centuries old ethos of protecting those we share our planet with. In his post, Modi wrote about an elephant which was a victim of an acid attack, which was being treated with utmost care.



During his visit to Vantara, Modi was seen playing with Asiatic lion cubs, a rare clouded leopard cub, and a white lion cub. Modi learned about hydrotherapy pool at the elephant hospital inside Vantara, which is considered to be the largest in the world.



He also interacted with doctors, staffs and workers in Vantara.
