February 23, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack on those who, according to him, seek to divide society and mock India’s religious and cultural traditions. Speaking at Chattarpur during the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Bageshwar Dham Medical and Science Research Centre, PM Modi accused certain groups of trying to weaken the country by targeting its faith and unity.
“Nowadays, we see that there is a group of leaders who mock religion, ridicule it, and are engaged in dividing people. Many times, foreign powers also try to weaken the country and religion by supporting these people. People who hate the Hindu faith have existed in different phases of history. Those who are trapped in the mentality of slavery continue to attack our faith, beliefs, temples, culture, and principles. They abuse our festivals, traditions, and customs,” PM Modi said.
He further emphasized that such forces dare to attack a religion and culture that is progressive by nature, and their primary agenda is to divide society and disrupt its unity.
During his speech, PM Modi also lauded Bageshwar Dham’s head, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, for spreading the message of unity. “In this time, Dhirendra Shastri has been making people aware of the mantra of unity in the country for a long time. Now, he has taken another resolution in the interest of society and humanity. The establishment of this cancer institute is a major step. This means that here in Bageshwar Dham, people will receive blessings through bhajans, food, and now a healthier life,” he added.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony marked a significant step towards the development of healthcare infrastructure in the region, aligning with the government’s vision of accessible and affordable medical facilities for all.
