Guwahati: A police team from Sribhumi (Karimganj) in Assam recovered an alleged stolen truck with 54 refrigerators, and arrested four individuals.



The four including the truck driver were arrested in connection with the alleged theft.



The four arrested individuals have been identified as Abu Salim Barabhuiya, Jabir Iqbal Laskar, Abu Sajad, and truck driver Zabir Hussain from the Silchar area.



The truck, which was transporting the refrigerators from Guwahati to Agartala "vanished" while on its way.



The owner of the transport company after failing to connect with the truck and driver, filed a complaint at the Badarpur police station, leading to an investigation.



Police found the abandoned truck (AS01KC0727) on the side of the road in the Bhanga area in Sribhumi.



Further investigation led to the recovery of the refrigerators from a warehouse in the Arunachal area of Cachar district.



Following the investigation, the police immediately arrested the above-mentioned persons.



The police are currently interrogating them to uncover more details about the theft.
