December 2, 2021: A 60 year old person fell into the Brahmaputra River on Thursday morning. He was travelling from Nimatighat to Majuli on the ferry named RPL Digaru.
The identity of the old person is yet to be ascertained. It is being suspected that the person jumped into the river voluntarily.
Search and rescue operation is underway.
