Three persons were infected with monkeypox at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport

September 1, 2023: Three persons were infected with monkeypox at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan.



According to officials, the three persons who arrived from Libya were Pakistani citizens aged between 30 and 45. The passengers have been admitted to the infectious disease hospital.



Earlier, Pakistan's National Institute of Health (NIH) registered a case of the monkeypox virus that is currently undergoing treatment in the Rawalpindi Hospital.



However, the NIH is carrying out an investigation regarding the spread of monkeypox. But there is no chance of spreading the virus yet.
