October 14, 2024: Diwali celebrations came early for employees of Team Detailing Solutions, a structural design company in Chennai, as they received an extraordinary gesture of appreciation from their owner, Sridhar Kannan. In a grand celebration marking Ayudha Pooja, the company gifted cars and motorcycles valued at approximately Rs 3.5 crore to its dedicated staff.

At a private event held at a property on ECR, Kannan presented 28 cars—including models like the Innova, Exter, Creta, i20, and luxury brands such as Mercedes Benz—along with 29 scooters to well-performing employees. The gifts were specifically tailored for long-serving staff: those with over nine years of service received cars, while employees with over seven years were awarded two-wheelers.

The firm, which began its journey in 2005 with just four employees, has grown to a workforce of 180, operating across two sites. Kannan emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating, "All those working here are from rural backgrounds. Their lives have been uplifted, and we want to improve their standard of living by providing them with vehicles. They have traveled with me for several years, and I wanted to take care of them. They trusted me and the company."

In addition to vehicle gifts, Kannan also revealed that employees receive marriage assistance, with the incentive raised from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh this year. This commitment to employee welfare reflects the company’s dedication to fostering a supportive and thriving work environment.
