Guwahati: A man was found dead mysteriously inside a truck in Barpeta Road in Assam on Sunday.

The incident took place near National Highway 27 on Barpeta Road, Assam, where the body of the 25-year-old youth, Lovely Sharma, was discovered inside a truck.

As per reports, the truck originated from Punjab bearing the number PB11DF6391 and the deceased was the helper of the truck.

The vehicle was transporting goods from Punjab to Assam.

According to reports, the deceased was a resident of Patiala, Punjab. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear, with initial indications suggesting that he was travelling with the truck.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver and the helper had dinner at a nearby dhaba and retired to the truck for the night.

It was only when the driver attempted to wake up the youth the following morning that the incident came to light.

The Barpeta Road police have launched an investigation into the matter and are working to determine the cause of death.
