March 7, 2025: The police during an operation intercepted a vehicle at Yajang Junction in Tuli ok Mokukchung, Nagaland leading to the arrest of five members of the NSCN (Khango) faction.



The police also seized a substantial quantity of illegal arms and ammunition from their possession.



According to the reports, the arrested individuals were traveling in a hatchback (Registration No. AS-12 H-1852) from Saring when they were stopped for a routine check.



Upon frisking the occupants, the authorities recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition.



The seized items include one M4 rifle, two .32 pistols, one .22 pistol, 30 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition, six rounds of .32 ammunition, 20 rounds of .22 ammunition, four magazines, five smartphones, one keypad Nokia phone, two walkie-talkie handsets, and cash worth Rs. 11,350.



The arrested individuals have been identified as "SS Captain" Sentitemsu, "SS Captain" Limaakum, "SS Major" Benjunglemba, "SS Lieutenant" Temsumongba, and Hovito. The police have registered a regular case at Tuli Police Station for further investigation. This operation is a significant blow to the NSCN (Khango) faction and a testament to the Mokokchung Police's efforts to curb illegal activities in the region.
