January 16, 2025: The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) is set to host the inaugural day of the Budget Session 2025 of the Assam Legislative Assembly, marking a historic moment for the region. The session will commence on February 17, with the first day's proceedings scheduled at the BTC Legislative Assembly in Kokrajhar.

BTC Chief Executive Member (CEM), Pramod Boro, shared the announcement on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, highlighting the significance of this event for BTR.

Ahead of the session, Boro attended a preparatory meeting alongside senior officials from both the Assam Legislative Assembly and the BTC Legislative Assembly. The meeting was graced by the Hon’ble Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, Shri Biswajit Daimary, and the Hon’ble Speaker of the BTC Legislative Assembly, Shri Katiram Baro.

The event signifies a milestone in the collaboration between the Assam government and BTR, showcasing the region's growing prominence in Assam's political and legislative framework.
