January 16, 2025: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is recovering after being stabbed six times during a shocking incident at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. The Mumbai Police have released an image of the suspected attacker, captured by CCTV in the building's staircase.

The footage, recorded at 2:33 am, shows the suspect—a man dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, carrying a backpack with an orange scarf draped over his shoulder—walking through the stairwell. At one point, the individual looks directly at the camera.

According to the police, the attacker entered the premises of the Khans' 12-storey Bandra West building by scaling a wall from an adjacent compound. He then used a rear staircase to reach the floors where Saif Ali Khan and his family reside. The intruder reportedly gained entry to the apartment through a fire escape.

The horrifying episode unfolded when a house help, Eliyama Phillipes, spotted the man and raised the alarm. Saif Ali Khan confronted the intruder, attempting to stop him, but was brutally attacked in the struggle. The assailant stabbed the actor multiple times, causing injuries to his left hand, neck, and spine.

Despite the injuries, Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his elder son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. Doctors have confirmed that the actor is stable and out of danger.

Police sources suggest that the attacker might have planned to rob the Khans' home, as the family occupies a sprawling apartment spread over four floors. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are reviewing additional CCTV footage and forensic evidence to track down the perpetrator.

The incident has left fans and the film industry shocked, with many expressing concern for the actor and his family. Kareena Kapoor Khan and the couple's younger children were reportedly unharmed during the attack.
