Range Officer Jatindra Mohan Das and Forester Firoz Choudhury were seriously injured in the attack.

The incident occurred after two autorickshaws were involved in an accident, leading to a heated argument between the forest officials and the locals.

The situation escalated, and the mob attacked the forest team, breaking the windshield of their vehicle.

The police arrived at the scene and rescued the injured officials, taking them to the hospital for treatment.

After receiving primary treatment, the officials were allowed to leave but a complaint has been filed in this regard.

The forest department has been conducting regular searches to prevent illegal activities, but this has led to resentment among some locals.
