August 9, 2023: Nine chefs from the Northeastern States of India have been selected for the initial round of MasterChef India Season 8. The upcoming season’s initial round will be held in Kolkata.

The chefs who have been selected are Avantika Haflongbar, Kabyashree Deka, Abhishek Prasad, Lucy P Patir, Nilakshi Sarma, Monmi Shikha Puzari, Mousumi Krishnatrey, Farha Naaz, and Pooja Taki.

Earlier, Nayanjyoti Saikia of Tinsukia, Assam bagged the title of MasterChef India Season 7.
