YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija Face NCW Inquiry Over Controversial Remarks

March 6, 2025: Popular YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) today in response to a summons related to controversial remarks made on the show India’s Got Latent.

The NCW had initially called for the appearance of multiple content creators, including Samay Raina, Jaspreet Singh, Ashish Chanchlani, Tushar Poojari, Saurabh Bothra, and Balraj Ghai. However, none of them appeared last month, citing concerns over personal safety, travel commitments, and logistical difficulties.

Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, had requested a three-week extension, claiming he had received death threats after the backlash. The commission granted his request, rescheduling his hearing for March 6. Apoorva Mukhija, who had also expressed safety concerns and requested a virtual hearing, was denied the option and asked to appear in person.

The controversy erupted after Allahbadia made offensive remarks about parents and sex on Samay Raina’s podcast. The comments sparked widespread outrage, leading to several complaints filed against him and the other participants.

Authorities from Mumbai and Assam attempted to record Allahbadia’s statement at his residence, but found it locked. He later addressed the situation on social media, asserting his cooperation with the investigation while reiterating the threats he had received.

The NCW’s inquiry into the matter continues, with further questioning of other summoned individuals expected in the coming days.
