September 21, 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially departed for a three-day visit to the United States, where he will participate in the fourth Quad Leaders' Summit in Wilmington, hosted by President Joe Biden. The summit, scheduled for September 21, will bring together leaders from India, the US, Japan, and Australia to discuss critical issues affecting the Indo-Pacific region.



In a pre-departure tweet, Prime Minister Modi expressed his anticipation for the summit, stating, "I look forward to joining my colleagues President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese, and Prime Minister Kishida. The forum has emerged as a key group of like-minded countries to work for peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region." He emphasized the importance of his meeting with President Biden to explore new pathways for deepening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.



The Quad, or Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, is centered around collaboration on pressing global challenges.



Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will address the United Nations General Assembly during his visit, engaging with global leaders on critical international issues. He expressed his eagerness to connect with the Indian diaspora and influential American business leaders, recognizing their role in strengthening the ties between the largest and oldest democracies in the world.



Looking ahead, Prime Minister Modi noted that India is set to host the next Quad Summit, further solidifying its pivotal role in regional and global dialogues.
