10 Pakistani Nationals Living on Fake IDs Arrested in Delhi, Rajasthan, and UP

October 10, 2024: In a significant crackdown on illegal immigration, district police have apprehended 10 Pakistani nationals, including six women, for residing in India under assumed Hindu identities. This operation unfolded just days after seven Pakistani nationals were arrested in Bengaluru, highlighting an escalating issue of identity fraud and illegal residency.

The recent arrests occurred across three states: five in Delhi, three in Rajasthan, and two in Uttar Pradesh. Following their apprehension, the suspects were presented before a local court, which has since remanded them into judicial custody pending further investigation.

The arrests were initiated based on information provided by Pervez Ahmed, a prominent member of the Mehdi Foundation International (MFI). Ahmed, originally from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh and currently living in Mumbai, was arrested last week as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities suspect he played a key role in facilitating the Pakistani nationals' illegal stay in India by helping them obtain Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and passports.

Bengaluru district Superintendent of Police, CK Baba, stated, "The investigation is ongoing to uncover the financial mechanisms that enabled Pervez to assist these Pakistani nationals in living illegally in India."
