November 13, 2023: A massive fire broke out in Golaghat, Assam on the Kali Puja celebration night. At least houses and one commercial shop have been completely gutted down in the fire.

Reportedly, locals suspected that the houses caught fire due to firecrackers. Properties worth lakh of rupees were destroyed in the fire. However, no casualties have been reported.

Though the fire tenders reached the spot, it took a long time to bring the situation under control.
