January 24, 2024: Ahead of the Republic Day celebration, a huge amount of smuggled gold biscuits and a pistol were seized in an operation carried out by Assam Police in Cachar on Wednesday.

Reportedly, two persons identified as Sanu Ajiz and Abdul have been arrested in the case. Police seized a .22 pistol, three rounds of live ammunition, and two gold biscuits weighing 250 gms from the arrested persons.

Police have also recovered many unwanted materials from the arrested persons. However, interrogations are on. Further details awaited.
