September 25, 2023: Five persons including father and grandfather have been arrested by Assam Police for allegedly molesting a minor girl in Jamugurihat, Sonitpur on Monday.

Reportedly, the arrested persons have been identified as Maheswar Nath (78), Tilak Nath (80), Mahendra Nath (65), Lokeswar Nath (70) and Naren Nath (42).

The incident came to light immediately after the victim informed her aunt that she had been molested by the above mentioned persons from many days. Later, locals lodged an FIR against the persons.
