Guwahati: The Assam State Election Commission (ASEC) has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming election to the 36 Constituencies of the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council, 2025.
The elections are set to be held with a detailed timeline, including nomination filings, scrutiny, polling, and result declarations.
The voting will take place on April 2, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The last date for filing nominations is March 15, 2025, from 11 AM to 3 PM. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on March 17, 2025, at 11 AM. The deadline for the withdrawal of candidature is March 19, 2025, by 3 PM.
The publication of the list of contesting candidates will be on March 19, 2025, after the withdrawal period.
Voting will take place on April 2, 2025, from 7 AM to 3 PM. In case of a re-poll, it will be held on April 3, 2025, from 7 AM to 3 PM.
The counting of votes will begin on April 4, 2025, at 8 AM and continue until the completion of the process. The results will be declared on April 4, 2025.
The total voter count for the election is 445,566, with 216,181 male voters, 229,394 female voters, and 11 others.
The election will take place at 630 polling stations across the region.
The maximum ceiling for campaign expenditure has been fixed at Rs 2.50 lakh (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand only) for each candidate.
