March 29, 2025: A reckless bike stunt by two youths in West Lanka village turned tragic, claiming the life of a man in his fifties. The deceased has been identified as Surya Kanta Singh.

According to reports, two local youths were performing bike stunts late in the evening when they lost control and hit Singh, who was standing near the gate of his house. He sustained severe injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Following the incident, angry villagers gathered at the Lanka police station late at night, demanding strict action against the accused. In response, the police seized two bikes, one of which was found to be unregistered.

The locals strongly condemned the reckless behavior of young bikers and urged the authorities to implement stringent measures to prevent such incidents. They also demanded legal action against underage and negligent riders.

An FIR has been lodged against the two accused, and the police have assured a thorough investigation into the matter.
