November 13, 2023: Rekha Sharma, the Nepal Government Minister of Information and Communications on Monday informed that a decision has been taken to ban the social media app TikTok during a cabinet meeting.



The decision has been taken after contents shared over TikTok allegedly caused disruption in social harmony and break-ups in societal relations. However, the complete technical ban will come into effect later.



TikTok has been already banned in over 50 Countries.
