The attack occurred in the wee hours of Monday morning when militants first targeted constables using snipers and then they breached the police station, causing further havoc. However, the reason behind the attack is not clear yet.



The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial Police Chief Akhtar Hayat Gandapur said, “More than 30 terrorists launched an attack from three directions. There was an exchange of fire for over two-and-a-half hours.”
