February 25, 2025: In a shocking incident, Putul Gohain, a resident of Chabua, Assam, who had been missing since February 17, was allegedly murdered in Delhi, and his body was thrown into a river.
According to reports, Delhi Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the case. The accused have reportedly confessed to the crime, but the victim’s body is yet to be recovered.
Gohain was employed at a private Copyright Investigation Company, and his murder is suspected to be linked to work-related enmity. Police sources revealed that the main accused, Nitin Yadav, was involved in the production of counterfeit products under the Anchor Company brand. During an investigation, Gohain allegedly caught Yadav red-handed, which might have led to the fatal attack.
Further investigations suggest that Yadav had strong connections with political figures. His social media accounts feature photographs with several Congress leaders, raising concerns about his political backing and possible influence.
Following the tragic incident, Gohain’s wife has appealed to the government for help, expressing concerns over her children’s safety. She has also requested assistance in returning to Assam.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police continue their search for the victim’s body while gathering more evidence in the case. Authorities are expected to take further action based on the ongoing investigation.
