March 18,2025: Amitabh Bachchan has taken the top spot as India’s highest tax-paying celebrity for the financial year 2024-25, paying a whopping Rs 120 crore in taxes on earnings of Rs 350 crore.

This is a significant increase from last year’s Rs 71 crore, showcasing his financial discipline and commitment to tax compliance.

Bachchan’s income sources are diverse, including films, brand endorsements and television appearances, particularly his long-running association with Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). His final advance tax instalment of Rs 52.50 crore was paid on March on 15, 2025, solidifying his position as the top taxpayer.

At 82, Amitabh Bachchan continues to be a dominant force in the Indian entertainment industry, balancing a packed schedule of films, advertisements, and television projects.
