Guwahati: An 11-year-old boy allegedly died after being hit by a tractor in Kamrup, Assam on Friday.

As per reports, the accident took place at Kharidol in Kamrup's Garoimari.

The accident resulted in the death of Manik Ali, 11. The incident also left another child, 12-year-old Abbas Ali, seriously injured.

According to reports, the accident took place when Manik Ali fell under the engine of a tractor while walking on the road near Kharidal.

Abbas Ali, who was also involved in the accident, was rushed to the Garoimari Community Health Centre for treatment.

The authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Some locals have alleged that the tractor was speeding and being driven harshly.1
