March 22, 2025: A 25 year old woman doctor, Dr Richa Pandey, was found dead in her room in Bhopal on Friday. The police reported that visible needle marks were found on her arm.

Dr. Richa, originally from Lucknow, had married Dr Abhijeet Pandey, a Bhopal based dentist, just four months ago. She worked as an assistant professor at a private medical college, RKDF, in Bhopal, while her husband practiced dentistry.

According to the police, the couple had slept in separate rooms on Thursday night. When Dr Abhijeet knocked on her door the next morning, there was no response. Despite efforts from neighbours, the door couldn’t be opened.

A labourer from a nearby market was eventually called to break the door open, revealing Dr Richa lying unconscious on the bed.

She was rushed to a private hospital, where doctors sadly declared her dead. While injection marks were found on her hand, the exact cause of death will only be confirmed after the post-mortem report is released.

Dr Richa’s family has been informed, and the post-mortem will be conducted on Saturday after their arrival. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and the police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.
