March 14, 2025: NASA’s crew-10 mission is set to launch today, March 14, at 7.03 pm EDT from Kennedy Space Centre, Florida marking a significant milestone in the relief efforts for Indian origin Astronaut Sunita Williams and fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore. This duo has been stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) for nine months, with their initial eight day mission in June 2024 prolonged due to technical issues with Boeing Starliner spacecraft.
The Crew-10 mission, carried out by Space-X will transport four astronauts to replace Sunita and Butch at ISS.
Sunita and her crew are expected to return to Earth no earlier than March 19. NASA’s Steve Stitch, manager of the commercial crew program, praised the teams involved, highlighting their commitment to excellence and safety.
