October 21, 2024: In a significant move ahead of the upcoming Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is set to file her nomination on Wednesday. Sources from the party confirm that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, along with former party chiefs Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, will be present to support her during the event.

On Monday, Priyanka Gandhi met with Kharge to seek his blessings before the crucial nomination filing. The event will kick off with a roadshow led by Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi, starting from the Kalpetta New Bus Stand at 11 AM. The nomination will then be submitted to the district collector at noon.

Priyanka Gandhi is representing the United Democratic Front (UDF) as their candidate for the parliamentary by-election. In addition to the Gandhi family, various Congress Chief Ministers and prominent leaders from both national and state levels are expected to attend, demonstrating their solidarity and support for her candidacy.
