OCTOBER 21, 2024- In a strong reaction to the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has firmly stated that despite Pakistan’s attempts to spread terror, Kashmir will not fall to extremist tendencies. The attack, claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, resulted in the tragic deaths of six construction workers and a doctor on Sunday evening.
“What will the terrorists get from this? Do they think they will be able to create a Pakistan here? We are trying to put this to an end so we can move on from the misery,” Abdullah stated. He urged Pakistan’s leadership to end support for terrorism if they wish to foster better relations with India.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has sent a four-member team to the attack site, and according to Union Home Ministry sources, the NIA may take over the investigation.
Abdullah added, “Kashmir Pakistan nahi Banega. Let us live with dignity and succeed. If they couldn’t create a Pakistan for 75 years, how would it be possible now? It is time to end terrorism, or the consequences will be severe.” He emphasized that peace talks cannot occur while innocent lives are lost.
