Delhi Cops Investigate Possible Khalistani Link in Rohini Blast Near CRPF School

October 21, 2024: A strong explosion shook a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Rohini, Delhi, early Sunday morning, prompting a multi-agency investigation into the incident. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, but the blast caused significant damage to the school's wall and nearby shops and vehicles.

Authorities are exploring a potential connection to Khalistani separatists following a social media post that claimed the explosion was retaliation for alleged actions against pro-Khalistan figures by Indian agencies. A senior police officer noted that the nature of the blast, an improvised explosive device (IED), suggests it was deliberately intended to send a message to authorities.

Witnesses reported that the bomb detonated between 7:35 and 7:40 AM, likely placed the previous night. The IED was reportedly controlled remotely or via a timer and did not contain deadly shrapnel, minimizing potential casualties.

Later in the day, a post circulating on Telegram from a group identifying itself as Justice League India featured footage of the explosion, marked with "Khalistan Zindabad." The post declared, “If Indian coward agency and their master think they can hire filthy goons to target our members to silence our voice, then they live in a fool’s world. They can't imagine how close we are to them and how capable we are to strike anytime.”

In response to the incident, a task force including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), CRPF, and Delhi Police swiftly cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence for further analysis. This blast follows a spate of recent bomb threats targeting flights across India, all of which have turned out to be hoaxes.
