February 26, 2025: In a major security operation, alert Border Security Force (BSF) personnel successfully foiled an infiltration attempt along the International Border (IB) in Punjab's Pathankot during the early hours of Wednesday.

According to officials, BSF troops stationed at the BOP Tashpatan border area detected suspicious movement near the IB. An unidentified individual was spotted attempting to cross into Indian territory from Pakistan.

Despite multiple warnings from the BSF, the intruder continued to advance, forcing the troops to take decisive action. The infiltrator was subsequently neutralized.

Authorities are currently investigating the identity and intent of the individual. Meanwhile, BSF officials have confirmed that a strong protest will be lodged with the Pakistan Rangers regarding the attempted infiltration.

This incident highlights the continued vigilance of India’s security forces in safeguarding the nation’s borders against potential threats.
