Guwahati: A 22-year-old youth was found dead at a rented accommodation in Duliajan of Assam on Saturday.

The incident reportedly took place in Duliajan, where the lifeless body of 22-year-old Udit Gogoi was discovered in a rented house.

The circumstances surrounding his death have raised suspicions, with his family alleging that he was murdered in a premeditated manner.

According to reports, Udit had recently travelled to Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, with three friends, who have since surrendered to the police. The friends, identified as Purnakanta Gogoi, Arunjyoti Thakur and Ratul Gogoi, are currently being questioned by the police.

The police have lodged an FIR against the three friends in connection with Udit's mysterious death.

The body was allegedly found with visible injury marks, further fueling suspicions about the circumstances of his death.

The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
