Guwahati: Another road accident reportedly claimed a life in Guwahati, Assam on Friday.

The accident reportedly occurred on the Saraighat bridge, resulting in the tragic death of a bike rider.

The victim, identified as Abhinash Rajbongshi, was travelling from Changsari to Guwahati when his bike was hit by an alleged speeding truck.

According to reports, the accident occurred when the truck collided with the bike, causing fatal injuries to the rider. The Jalukbari traffic police immediately rushed to the scene and sent the deceased to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for postmortem.

Earlier in the evening, a scooter rider was killed after being run over by a truck near National Highway 27 in Guwahati, Assam.

The fatal road accident took place in the Katahbari area on National Highway 27 in Guwahati.

As per reports, the accident occurred after a truck bearing registration number AS28AC0257 ran over a scooter (AS01EA3912) from behind.

The truck was reportedly loaded with cement bags but the exact circumstances leading to the accident were not immediately known.
