The incident occurred when a massive crowd gathered outside the theatre to catch a glimpse of the film's star, Allu Arjun, who made a surprise appearance at the event. As Arjun arrived, fans rushed frantically to see him, triggering chaos and pushing their way inside the theatre. In the ensuing panic, Revathi (39) from Dilsukhnagar, along with her husband Bhaskar and two children, Sri Tej (9) and Sanvika (7), were caught in the stampede.
Revathi and her son Sri Tej lost consciousness in the chaos. The police quickly rushed them to nearby hospitals, with Revathi being declared dead on arrival at Durga Bhai Deshmukh Hospital in Vidyanagar. Sri Tej, severely injured, was transferred to KIMS Hospital in Begumpet, where he remains in critical condition.
The tragic events unfolded around 10:30 pm, as Allu Arjun made his entry, drawing a frenzied crowd. The police, overwhelmed by the massive turnout, struggled to control the situation, leading to the stampede. After the screening, the actor left the venue under tight security, briefly waving to the crowd from the sunroof of his car, and urging fans to clear the way for vehicles.
Revathi's body was later transferred to Gandhi Mortuary after being moved from the hospital. Authorities are investigating the incident, and police have promised to review safety measures at future events to prevent such tragedies.
