April 4, 2023: At least 6 tourists have been found killed and over 80 are feared to be trapped after a massive avalanche occurred at Nathula Border in Sikkim on Tuesday.

More than 30 people who were trapped have been rescued and taken to the nearby hospital for their treatment.

Reportedly, the six people including four males, one woman and a child succumbed to the injuries at a nearby hospital.

However, the Sikkim Police, Tourism Department officials, vehicle drivers carried out search and rescue operations immediately after the incident and is still underway.
