February 12, 2024: Ahead of the farmers protest on Tuesday, the Delhi Police on Monday imposed Section 144 in the entire national capital and the public gathering has been banned as part of the security arrangement.



The Delhi Police said the restrictions will be in place from February 12 to March 12, 2024.



The decision has been taken as the Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and several other Farmers Union and Associations have announced a ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on 13th of February, 2024 to hold protest outside the Parliament House to press their demands.



Over 200 farmer unions with multiple demands, including enactment of a law to guarantee minimum support price, or MSP, for their crops, are expected to cover on the national capital over the next few days.
