Head-on collision in Karnataka leaves six dead, five injured

September 9, 2024: A tragic head-on collision between two cars in Tumakuru district this morning has resulting in the deaths of six individuals and injuries to five others. The accident took place near Keregalapalya village in Madhugiri taluk.



According to Tumakuru Superintendent of Police Ashok K.V., the victims were members of two families from Bengaluru who were en route to Hosakote for Ganesh festival celebrations. The deceased have been identified as Janardhan Reddy, 60, Sindhu Reddy, 33, Vedas Reddy, 12, and Anand, 30, all hailing from Pavagad taluk. The other two victims are Nagaraj, 33, and Siddaganga, 35, from Karenahalli.



He added that all the injured and the deceased were the residents of JP Nagar in Bengaluru who had been to Hosakote to celebrate the Ganesh festival.
