A total of 679 bags of suspected Burmese betel nuts worth Rs  1.5 crore were seized from three wagons of the Agartala-Sealdah Kanchenjunga Express.

September 12, 2021: In a joint operation by a team of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF), a huge consignment of supari (betel nuts), suspected to have been smuggled from Myanmar were seized from a train at the Guwahati Railway Station on Saturday night.



As per reports, a total of 679 bags of suspected Burmese betel nuts worth Rs  1.5 crore were seized from three wagons of the Agartala-Sealdah Kanchenjunga Express.
