March 18, 2025: In a major breakthrough against vehicle theft, Garchuk Police recovered 12 stolen motorcycles from Chaygaon during a special operation. The stolen vehicles were traced based on the confession of an arrested thief in Bijoynagar.

According to police sources, the bikes were stolen from various parts of Guwahati city, and multiple complaints had been registered at different police stations. The arrested thief revealed that the stolen vehicles were hidden in a remote village of Bijoynagar. Acting on this information, a police team launched an operation and successfully recovered the stolen bikes from Chaygaon.

In connection with the case, the police arrested four individuals identified as Iman Ali, Zubin Bora, Gokul Saloi, and Satyajit Kalita. Further investigation is underway to trace other possible members of the gang and recover more stolen vehicles.

Authorities have urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to vehicle thefts to the nearest police station.
