March 19, 2023: Amid the search operation to nab the “Waris Panjab De” Chief Amritpal Singh in Punjab, four suspects have been brought to Dibrugarh in Assam on Sunday.

Reportedly, the suspects have been brought amid tight security by a 27-member team of Punjab Police and will be kept in Dibrugarh Central Jail.

Amritpal Singh Sandhu is a self-styled Indian Khalistani and a fugitive from Punjab. He returned from Dubai to India to become the leader of the organisation “Waris Panjab De” after the death of its previous leader Deep Sidhu in a car accident but his position is disputed. He is alleged to have many links to Pakistan's intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence and terror groups.
