March 7, 2024: A huge quantity of illegally smuggled timber seized by the forest department at the Gumrah area in Cachar district of Assam on Thursday.
Reportedly, the raid was launched by a team of forest department after receiving some information from unknown person.
During the raid, around 200 CFT of smuggled teak timber was recovered. The smuggled timber worth lakhs of rupees was seized from a house in the area.
