Assam CM Discusses Tata Group Investments with Chairman N. Chandrasekaran

February 8, 2025: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma met Tata Sons and Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran on Friday at his Prithviraj Road residence in New Delhi. The discussion centered on upcoming investments by the Tata Group in Assam, particularly the ongoing semiconductor plant project in Jagiroad.



The Chief Minister, who recently inspected the plant’s construction, expressed optimism about the venture’s impact on Assam’s industrial growth. Dr. Sarma also extended an invitation to Chandrasekaran for the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit, scheduled to take place in Guwahati on February 25-26.



Following the meeting, Dr. Sarma took to social media platform X to share his enthusiasm. He wrote, "It was truly a pleasure to meet Shri N.
