July 28, 2020: Members of the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti on Tuesday staged protest at Chandmari demanding its leader Akhil Gogoi's release.

The KMSS activists gathered at Chandmari and formed a hum,an chain demanding early release of Akhil Gogoi.

They also demanded scrapping of CAA and the draft Environment Impact Assessment 2020 besides opposing the other anti-Assam policies of the Modi government.

The protesters had scuffle with the security forces before they were detained by police and taken to police station.
